BTEC Health & Social Care Level 3 Unit 1 Human Lifespan A4 Social Development content

This is a resource package for teaching the New BTEC HSC Level 3, Unit 1 Human Growth &Development through Life Stages, A4 Social Development and covers all that’s on the spec. It has a 10 page booklet you can add to or alter, which has presentation note pages for the 2 PowerPoints, activities and homework tasks so it’s pretty engaging and the student can print it off and refer to sections themselves for revision. There is also an exam paper to test progress for A4 and a simplified mark scheme which allows peer marking to save time.

The content covers:-
The stages of play in infancy and early childhood:
• solo play, parallel play and co-operative play.
The importance of friendships and friendship groups:
 the social benefits of friendships o the effects of peer pressure on social development.
The development of relationships with others.
The development of independence through the life stages:
peer influence in adolescence, starting employment, leaving home, starting a family
