Building Blocks for Forming Perfect Tense

I have struggled with getting Y8s to separate the way they think about forming Perfect Tense with Avoir and with Etre. These two PPT slides can be printed off and stuck into their books so they can use them when they are writing the Perfect Tense. I demonstrated with real blocks that, as building blocks have to be built from the ground upwards (gravity dictates!), so is the same with these guidance sheets. I hope you find them useful - please let me know if it works for your pupils! Mine have to be reminded to use them each time they are writing...
