This is a full lesson which I did with a top-set year nine class. In this lesson students complete a carousel activity which explores different areas of Dickens' life, and then they use that information to write their own recipe for Charles Dickens.
This lesson includes:
PowerPoint
Carousel Sheets (5 in total, all about Dickens' life)
Carousel Investigation Sheet (for students to record their findings)
Dickens Recipe Checklist (students can tick off the success criteria for the task)
Help Sheet (gives more pointers on the recipe task for LA)
Extension Task (for HA and quick finishers)
Taylor Swift WAGOLL (an example of a recipe for Taylor Swift which will help students to know what you're looking for)
