Have your students practice double digit multiplication with this fun set of Christmas themed Four in a row maths games that are played like Connect Four. The aim of this game is build fluency in multiplying 2 digit by 2 digit numbers. It particularly suits primary students in Key Stage 2 ( KS2 ).

Students work in pairs and take turns trying to answer one of the 2 x 2 multiplication questions on the board. If they answer it correctly they can cover with a counter or use pencils or dot and dab markers to colour the circle with the multiplication problem. Play continues back and forth this way until someone makes a line of 4 correct problems.

Answer sheets are included for students to record their answers and each game comes with an answer key.

Students have fun reading while trying to outsmart one another! Makes a great Christmas activity, homework activity and paired activity.
