A lesson aimed at the end of term for KS3 looking at Christmas adverts from the likes of John Lewis, Sainsbury’s and Disney. Encourages students to think about the meaning behind the adverts and the brand’s message/intentions (I pause before the slogan when playing them and get students to guess it) before designing their own advert, focusing on the writer’s message to the audience and emotive responses.
