My Weekend News teaching pack! This complete set helps support children to write a recount about what they have done at the weekend. 26 new cards are included with weekend specific vocabulary to encourage a more detailed recount. A useful set of seven differentiated writing templates will help your children to write about their weekend.

I use this set as both a speaking and listening activity and as an independent writing task. They work perfectly as Monday morning ‘News Writing’ learning area in Early Years and Key Stage One.
