Complete Transformations Pack

A pack of resources which cover all four of the transformations (translation, reflection, rotation and enlargement), asking students to both complete the transformations and describe them.

Each topic has 10 questions on completing the transformations which get harder and address common misconceptions.

Each topic has 6 questions on describing the transformation as well.

There are two questions on mixed transformations towards the end of the booklet asking students to complete a series of transformations then describe the single transformation which would do the same job.

The normal document has a final enlargement extension task on the back page. The “harder” version of the document instead has a page of 6 questions involving negative and/or fractional enlargements.

I have used this pack for many years with Years 8 through to 11 with great success. The worksheets talk about darker shapes and lighter shapes so they do not need to be printed in colour.
