Compound Sentences using Greek Gods

Three activities looking at the children creating compound sentences from two simple sentences.

1 Activity:
Children to look at a short piece of text and pick out the compound sentences, discuss why they are compound sentences.

2 Activity:
Children to match sentences together in pairs to match the sentences together, children to discuss their choices and share as a class. I cut them out so the children could move the sentences round, we also discussed the changes in punctuation when joining the sentences together.

3 Activity:
Children to match the sentences using the correct conjunctions, list provided for the children to work from.
