A set of instructions to set up a demonstration for convection. It has two cups (full of ice water and boiling water, indicated with blue and red food colouring) and when you pierce holes in the cups, when submersed in room temp water, watch the movement of convection. Helps explain density, heat rising, and heat transfer etc. I hope you find it helpful

Thank you - a less messy demo of the one I usually do involving sliding pieces of card between gas jars!

I do something like this - make blue ice cubes and float them in tap water. You can see the streams of blue cold water going down. Good quick starter or plenary.
