Coral Reef Zones Worksheet

This resource features a line drawn cross section of a generic coral reef. Students can add the characteristics of each zone using the labels included, or add their own words. They can also attach the selection of line drawn reef animals to the correct zones on the worksheet.
The elements included can be used to provide a variety of activities and outcomes within the classroom, depending on the teachers aims for the session and the students’ abilities. Helpful suggestions are included in the resource.
Resource contains the following PDF documents:

Both sheets contain the same information, but the second sheet is colour coded to provide an answer sheet.

A4 sheet of named line drawings of assorted sea creatures which can be found living on coral reefs.
Please note that, as this is a generic reef, not all of these species would be found living on reefs in the same areas. They have been chosen to show a variety of adaptations and species which can be found on coral reefs.
