Ready to print, chop and laminate. Created as a supply resource as a 'go to' activity.
Used a youtube video of the countdown backing music to add effect!
Cut up the number cards, put them into piles and ask children to select high and low numbers, then display them on the laminated grid and use a random number generator or roll a dice to create a target number (this way you can control how many digits etc)
Then children have the challenge of getting as close to the number as they can.
Note: I gave pupils the extra challenge of finding as many ways to make it as possible if the randomly generated number was too easy to reach!
