Designing a petting farm Maths problem solving and reasoning with area, perimeter and money.

Year 5 based whole lesson task: children receive a letter explaining how to complete the task and there is a presentation to go alongside this. Children must choose animals based on their budget and choose food stalls and ‘extras’ such as toilets, trains etc. Children then draw their petting farm based on the area and perimeters that have been given - ensuring that they all fit in their petting farm!
