1) Little handout showing students how to conjugate the irregular verb 'essen' in the present tense.
2) Translation Task on Smoking G-E, differentiated using chilis. Modelling answers to speaking questions. (Two tenses / opinions / sentence starters / justifications.)
3) Colour-coded by gender: food and drink items. To support students in their writing.
4) A fortune line to assist students when giving opinions on food and drink. (using gern, lieber am liebsten.'
5) A higher level speaking question for AQA. (Question 2- Higher). Two different versions attached. One with no support and one with key phrases to assist weaker learners.
6) An Internet forum on smoking and reading comprehension. Students play the ignorance game and learn 12 words they don't know for homework
7) A template of the translation template I use to test vocabulary knowledge and translation skills. 3 challenge questions.
8) Rip and Run starter - students work in mixed ability groups. They tear a sentence off the sheet per group. Once they have translated it as a group, they see the teacher. If it's correct, they can get another sentences. If not, the teacher circles the mistake and they discuss further in groups. Group with the most points win - great fun!!
