This resource is packed full of fun features and stories to read, follow up activities to complete, harder vocabulary to prepare children for more advanced writing and many helpful tips and techniques to improve writing style. For example, imagine a new dinosaur and use the prompts to write an information leaflet. Was he as big as a four-storey house? Did he have a neck ten times longer than a giraffe? Next, write a newspaper article, reporting on an important dinosaur discovery. A fun newspaper template and list of tricky dinosaur vocabulary is provided. Then, let your imagination run wild and write a dinosaur story.
