This partner speaking activity is for upper level classes. This is a challenging activity and is intended to be used after studying and practicing indirect discourse, not as an introduction. A conversation is presented. Each partner overheard one side of the conversation. Students are to refer to the half-dialogue provided in order to answer the partner’s questions. When speaking, students use le discours indirect. When writing the answers down, students use direct discourse to complete the conversation.
