This is an engaging frogs themed activity or 4 task cards/slides (5-9 problems per card/slide) on dividing radicals (square roots only). The pages/slides with problems are four (a total of 25 problems). On the first page/slide students are given 9 problems of the type (a√b)/(c√d), on the second page/slide students have to divide and simplify 6 radical expressions with two to three variables. On the third page/slide students are given 5 problems of the type (a√b±c√d)/m√n and on the fourth page/slide students have to simplify 5 radical expressions of the type like in page/slide three, but with variables (a,b,c,d,m and n are natural numbers). On the last page/slide students are given a table where the cells are labeled with the numbers of the problems like 1A,1B…,2A…3A…4A, 4B,…etc. Students are asked to record their answers in the table. (Problems 2D, 4B, 4C and 4D require rationalizing the denominator).
This activity can be completed individually or students can work in pairs.
The answer key is contained at the end of this document.
NOTE: This product is created as a Google Slides product. I have converted it to PDF item here. I have included 2 PDF files - the one has each slide as a page and the other has two slides on a page for easy and more economic printing!
