This planning is based around the book The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. It ensures that children become really familiar with the book.

Part 1 - Each day includes one group or whole class activity that focuses on children completing a specific book related task. The tasks are all fun, crafty and engaging.

Part 2 – Part 2 includes a range of suggested continuous provision activities that you may want to put out for the children to access throughout the week.
There is a number of activities listed, all engaging and fun. All of the continuous provision planning has links to the NEW EYFS 2021 Development Matters, specifically the ‘Children in reception will be learning to…’ section.
