TOPIC 1 KEY CONCEPTS OF CHEMISTRY PAPER 1 and PAPER 2- NEW for SEPTEMBER 2017
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU BUY :
Electron configuration can be found with CC3b Atomic mass and number - as I feel it should be taught at the same time. The only part of CC4c in this lesson is the "connections with the periodic table" section (outer electrons = group number and number of shells = period number)
Learning objectives:
To describe how Mendeleev arranged the elements into the periodic table
To be able to identify symbols and locations of common elements
To be able to explain how the electronic configuration of an element is related to its position in the periodic table
All extension questions available on each slide
Answers all underneath each slide
Support also available where necessary
AfL sections and mini quizzes
Reducing the need for photocopying
Main topics include:
- Atomic number - sorting elements into groups
- Pair reversals - atomic number vs mass
- Connections with the periodic table - groups/periods
All relating to specification (any pictures used have all been taken from the internet and I am not trying to claim rights to any pictures or information used)
Enjoy !!!!
