This is Lessons 5-6 of a 55-lesson unit of work delivering Edexcel A Level History: ‘The Rise and Fall of Fascism in Italy, c1911-1946’. These lessons cover the topic: Giolitti’s government in 1911.

The core textbook utilised is Hodder: Nationalism, dictatorship and democracy in 20th century Europe (2016): ISBN 1471837637.

Other resources referred to in activities are:

SHP: Fascist Italy (1998): ISBN 0719573416 – utilised very frequently, I would suggest getting a few.
My Revision Notes: The rise and fall of fascism in Italy c1911-46 (2017): ISBN 1471876527 – utilised frequently, also cheap.
Pearson: Nationalism, dictatorship and democracy in 20th century Europe (2015): ISBN 1447985303 – utilised rarely, so you could always just purchase one copy of this.
Some homework set is to read and feed back on chapters of Christopher Duggan’s excellent book Fascist Voices – however this is optional to include.
