The identify the significance of different forms of music used in worship and how music expresses Catholic beliefs about eternal life, with reference to Faure’s Requiem
Powerpoint lesson that includes examples of funeral music (Faure's requiem, Abide with me, Face to face with Christ my Saviour). Students have an activity to highlight the ideas about death and the afterlife in the lyrics whilst listening to the the hymns/ music (hyperlinked) and to complete a discussion and written activity before answering a related exam question.
This was designed with the Eduqas syllabus in mind but the content is the same for Edexcel, exam questions may need to be tweaked if you study Edexcel.
