This download teaches children about kilowatts in one complete lesson.

There is a detailed 29 slide PowerPoint which explains the differences between watts, kilowatts, and kilowatt hours, converts between them, explains why we need to know and looks at household usage of kilowatts. There are also differentiated, 7 page, worksheets to allow students to demonstrate their understanding. I have also included a video of my own science lesson (using these resources) which took place online for teacher’s understanding or to show the class.

After the lesson children can take part in a digital escape room to practice their new knowledge.
