Mainly focused around creative writing but with a wide variety of topics and activities, this should perfect to get you going with teaching Entry Level English.

I have been teaching Entry Level English, Maths and Science for five years now at a mainstream KS4 setting in North-West Leicestershire.

Please note that this was designed from the EDEXCEL Entry Level English specification, but I’m sure this would work okay with also the AQA or Functional Skills specifications.

The marking sheet is adapted from the EDEXCEL specification and covers all 3 of the levels as one. Please only use this for practise assessments, and refer back to the specification when marking their final formal assessments. Only tick one box per focus, the number of marks for that column is in brackets.
