These are 5 posters which run through common errors students make in their Lang and Lit essays, and should give the guidance necessary for high level essay writing. I find after marking mock exams, I’m constantly writing the same things in the margins of hundreds of paragraphs - with no faith students will actually be applying these things next time they write.

They posters are designed for use as active learning tool as well as a display - use them for students to reflect on their own writing (they can green pen their work, peer assess, or write their own targets). They could potentially save you a huge amount of time and effort marking.

The posters can also be used to set targets before writing activities and essay practice in class, so that students are reflective and have direction when writing. They help students to form habits in those weeks of constant repetition and timed writing activities as we head towards their final exams. My students pick two things they want to focus on before they start their pieces.

Make sure you select A3 size on your printer settings, and obviously print to an A3 printer at school, ideally in colour.
