6 lesson starters (Exam Warm Ups) – all based on the same skills.
10 questions all 1-2 marks on the foundation tier exam. The basics that pupils constantly need reminding of, building retention skills in our weaker pupils.
Contains;
1. 6 sets of exam warm up questions.
2.Improvement of key skills in the exam, these were areas that my pupils fell down on in the most recent exam. Pupils tend to show progress by lesson five and feel confident with these skills.
3. 6 sets of answers.
4. Instructions (very simple, one line here) Display on the board. Let pupils complete in their books. Each lesson 15 minutes earning essential marks in the exam.
5. Topics covered- conversions cm to m, hours and minutes to minutes and vice versa, rounding to decimal place and significant figures, Factorising simple expressions, reciprocal, multiplies factors and primes.
Printing Tip: This resource has been designed to display on board. If you wish to print, there is a printable version included print on A4. If you wish to print, select ‘shrink’ or ‘print to fit page’ (or fit to page option on your print settings) in order for it to print correctly on A4.

To develop exam skills around different strands of the curriculum.
To address gaps in student’s knowledge in preparation for the exam.
Ensure pupils are not losing key marks that come up on every exam.
