Fairtrade is an important topic to broach with your students. This Fraitrade Fable reading comprehension introduces the theme of Fairtrade with a fictional story that has a moral.

Engaging student’s imaginations, they are then drawn to some general vocabulary associated with Fairtrade, and will link it to the context of the story. They will also have the chance to deep dive into vocabulary from the story and identify various forms of figurative language. The workbook then directs them to a writing task, which goes through a scaffolded process where the students can plan and write their own Fairtrade Fable!
