Designed to be used as a series of lessons to introduce finding the difference using the bar model.
The bar model will be introduced practically using cubes initially (there is a flipchart to support) and then they will move onto a picture representation of the bar model, followed by creating their own picture representations. This resource is also intended to introduce the language of 'finding the difference' and 'how many more..?' alongside the subtraction number sentences that chn are already familiar with.
Each worksheet has a self-assessment box which allows the teacher to also tick alongside to confirm their judgement.
