Forests under Threat 8.6b 'Conflicting views about how to manage the Taiga regions'

Lesson begin with a reading and comprehension task which encourages a conversation about groups managing the Taiga. It moves on to a conflict matrix activity. I like to give the pupils different character cards an they walk around the room to discuss levels of conflict with other characters. This information is used to complete the conflict grid. Decision making task to decide how much they agree with each character / player using thermometer structure. Practice 4 mark question to finish with mark scheme for some self assessment.
