Fractions Bundle: Identifying and Modeling Fractions

This bundle has 112 task cards to help students develop a deep understanding of fractions. Start with cards from "Identifying Fractions of a Whole" in which children write a fraction for the shaded part of a whole figure. Figures are kept simple with just squares and rectangles. Move on to "Identifying Fractions of a Set". These cards help reinforce the concept of fractions not just being a part of a whole. Finally, have students use the "Building Fraction Models" cards to make their own fraction models. They can make whole modes using blocks that connect such as LEGO or Unifix or set models by using separate items. Use these activities for extra practice, reteaching, or enrichment of your fraction unit Supports standards CCSS 3.NF.A.1, TEKS 3.3D, VA SOL 3.2a and KS2 Year 3.
