This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning how to write the date in French. They learn the numbers up to 31 and recap the months of the year. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a longer ‘calendar’ or ‘dates’ unit.
The plan gives details of a starter game, how to teach the vocabulary, a speaking game, an individual writing activity, a reading worksheet and a rhyme plenary. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.
