This amazing bundle is better than anything else on the market. CGP, York Notes, Collins, Mr Bruff all aim to the middle.
These analyses show your students who to get grades 8 and 9 with each character.
They’ll discover new interpretations they’ve never met before. They’ll see how to explore alternative viewpoints about each key moment in the play.
They will decide whether the Inspector is supernatural, why the younger generation ultimately fail, how Priestley was even more worried about war than about capitalism and consider whether Priestley himself is an early feminist.
Every page models essay writing in such a way that your students will move beyond PEE, and write in a more fluent style.
I would have been happier if there was more on themes such as `time' and a PowerPoint to go with all this information.

Thanks for your review. The guide is to help students get grade 9, and therefore is intended to be rich in information they can read independently. That's why it isn't a PowerPoint - I agree that would be a useful resource for me to create.
I think the theme of time is taught in a woolly way - Priestley had a theory of time repeating itself. Ok, but how to do we relate that to his dramatic purpose in the play? Only by looking at how he symbolises the first and second world wars through the deaths of the two Eva's and through setting the play against historical events which the audience, through dramatic irony, can see will arise as a consequence of the upper classes' choices and prejudices. Consequently, I cover the conrete examples really well.
I will take a look at the idea of simply adding sections with themes as headings, rather than having each theme exemplified in the treatment of each character. My experience is that students will be asked about a character, and need the skill to relate this to the themes and Prietley's purpose - that's why the notes are structured around each character.
Thanks for your comment though, it has made me re-evaluate. And thanks for buying in the first place.
