This resource has been created to practice reading non fiction texts linked by theme to WW2 and War Poetry. This lesson gives students a simplified and broken-down way of accessing a non-fiction text based on a popular theme.
Activities include tasks which allow students to apply their contextual knowledge to the text. There are comprehension and language analysis activities. The activities ensure the text is carefully read.
This lesson is suitable for KS3 students, but it can easily be adapted to suit KS4 students, particularly those who are less able.
