Est-ce que tu as déjà…? This passé composé speaking activity is great for getting French 2 students to speak and review at the end of the year and again for French 3 students as an ice-breaker activity as early as the first day of class after summer vacation. This activity uses mostly verbs with AVOIR as helping verb including mostly regulars, but some irregulars as well. There are a few reflexive verbs that use “être” as helping verb and the verb ALLER is included several times in each of the 5 versions of this activity.

This resource includes:
Est-ce que tu as déjà…? - 5 different versions of the activity with 16 questions per grid for a total of 80 getting to know your questions in the passé composé.

How to play:

Have your students move around the room asking classmates if they have ever done what is written in the squares on the grid that you provide. If a classmate responds with OUI he or she writes his name on the line provided. Complete sentences are encouraged even when the answer is NON. Activity continues until all boxes are filled. Once all of the boxes have been signed your students can turn in their papers.

This is a fun, interactive way to review the passé composé. Your students enjoy learning fun facts about their classmates, and you will certainly like hearing them speak French!
