This is a short lesson that is based on Edexcel GCSE History of Medicine Book. By adding many pictures and diagrams the content of the lesson is more accessible to all ability pupils. This unit is about the new ways of preventing diseases in 20th Century: the Clean Air Act (1956 and 1968), limiting car emissions, smoking in public places, as well as government healthy lifestyle campaigns: Change4Life and more. The last couple of slides present the main changes in medical history during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
