This is a fun self-checking circuit activity on geometric mean in right triangle (including the altitude and leg rules) containing 14 problems. There are given the values of two elements in a problem as example given one leg and hypotenuse and students have to find the other four elements - the other leg, the projection of the legs on the hipotenuse and the altitude on the hypotenuse. Some of the problems are more challenging and require writing and solving a quadratic equation. There is provided enough space for students to show work on the pages.

Activity directions: Students begin with the problem #1, solve the problem, find the answer somewhere else on the pages ( which are five) and write “2” in the blank. Then student solve that problem (#2), search for the answer again and when find it write “3” in the next blank. Students continue in this manner until they return to the problem #1. They should solve all the problems before returning to the start point.

Full typed solutions are included.
