This is a simple lesson for teachers who want to teach someone who is learning English on going food shopping at the supermarket.
I’m a qualified ESOL teacher and I’ve created this lesson for my learners. It took me 4 hours to create this resource. I hope you like it.
What is included in this lesson?

Where do you go shopping and why you shop there

Vocabulary on asking for a product. For example; can I have a loaf of bread, a bunch of bananas, a tin of tomatoes etc.

Essential vocabulary with images on going to the supermarket(example: complaint, basket, receipt, etc…)

Prepositions of place at the supermarket(opposite, next to etc.)? (includes images)

Asking for directions(it includes a basic map of the supermarket sections; bakery, drinks, butcher etc)

Getting the correct change(numeracy)

Conversation between the checkout assistant and the customer including fill in the gaps
