Grooming -Lesson and Workpack

A ready to use lesson (suitbale from KS3 upwards) with student Workpack to meet the PSHE/SRE Statutory Curriculum. Editable Powerpoint and Workpack, with 60 minutes worth of material. Colourful and engaging, no need to print and cut resources. The Workpack includes space for student self-assessment and teacher comments to aid quick directed marking.

The Lesson and Workpack focuses on encouraging students to explore the dangers of grooming both online and in person. The video includes an informative video which serves as a case study and acts to dispel the myth that grooming only affects females. The lesson has activities that strengthen literacy and research skills, whilst allowing students to examine the stages of grooming in more detail. Students are challenged to question the motives around behaviours they may be exposed to and are supported to identify the impact grooming can have on individuals.
The Lesson and Workpack are non-specialist friendly.
PowerPoint and resources are in comic sans, with size 14 font and slides have a yellow background to ensure that it is SEN inclusive. The lesson includes differentiated learning tasks that challenge students to be critical thinkers. The lesson includes assessment for learning opportunities.
The PowerPoint has teacher notes with suggested teaching ideas and questioning, as well as suggested timings.
