Growth mindset 'Instead of thinking...' activity

This activity will get your children thinking about how to turn negative thoughts about their round to more determined, positive, growth mindset thoughts. First is a match-up activity. This could be done in pairs or groups. There are no wrong answers, though there are some growth mindset thoughts which better match against the fixed mindset statements. This can prompt a discussion and collection of ideas. Second, the children can use their learning to create their own personal mottos. This could be decorated, laminated, displayed etc to remind the children how to dig themselves out of 'the learning pit'.
