This unit of work is based off the book ‘Growth Mindset Lessons: Every child a learner’.
The planning is taken from Year 2 but is flexible and would also suit Year 3 and year 4.
Here are the lesson objectives:
Lesson 1: work in a specific role and help a child with a fixed mindset.
Lesson 2: identify and describe how we feel when we make a mistake and know which strategies can help us.
Lesson 3: debate whether girls should be allowed to be engineers
Lesson 4: explain what effort is
Lesson 5: set a learning challenge and identify progress
