This is a really nice activity to use when studying volume and surface area. Students are given some pictures of 3d shapes and asked to order them from largest surface area to smallest. They then have to repeat for volume and see if the order changes. This would bring about some interesting discussion. This would make a nice lesson after students have been taught how to calculate volume of spheres and cones, ideal for higher KS4. Thank you for sharing.
