This project develops the pupils understanding of visual literacy and how through signifiers of colour and shape and communicate meaning.
Starting off with discussions about logos and branding, it moves onto character design finishing off with propaganda posters. All of this around the theme of superheroes.

Project includes:

• Colour meaning
• symbolism of images
• logo design
• Superhero character building and design
• Designing a propaganda poster for your superhero.

This is one of my favourite projects to teach as it ties in very strongly with real world experience, opening up for lots of discussion, while allowing the pupils to stretch their creativity.
Initially this was a full term project but it has been heavily adapted for homelearning.
Resource sheets have been included but are not necessary for home learning.
