I successfully made this to teach a class of Year 4 children online. It went very well. I am sure that KS2 children can make it independently. KS1 might need some adult support in some ares.
I built it around a small plastic water bottle with the idea of using baking soda, vinegar, soap, water and food colouring to simulate an eruption.
