The plan is this:
I'll laminate enough copies of the first sheet to give one sheet per group (either pairs or threes).
Students use erasable markers to fill in the sheet and come to have it checked periodically.
Once their sheet is completed, checked and so correct, then they'll get paper copies for each of them to complete, trim and stick in to their exercise books.
The second sheet I intend to have one laminated copy, that I will keep hold of, with a viewing window made from coloured card.
If students decide that they really cannot work out which gas the property applies to, or why it is that particular gas, then they can come and get a clue - namely a chance to look at that part of a completed sheet, but it will cost their team/pair points.
I'm planning on using this with a Y10 iGCSE Edexcel Double Award Chemistry class to meet spec points 1.5 and part of 2.5
Ps. As a loosely connected secondary aim I'm hoping to steer students towards the RSC Periodic Table site as a way of reinforcing the idea of a reputable, reliable source - all the information they would need to complete the sheet can actually be found on that site
