This is a highly graded maths IA for the International Baccalaureate diploma program. The essay uses calculus (Differentiation and Integration) as well as vectors to determine the rotation of a whirlpool. Stokes theorem is used to answer the research topic at hand for assumptions and accounting for all involved factors. Lastly, the essay uses 3D modelling to provide a visual understanding of the field vectors and their use in calculation of the total rotation of the whirlpool.
