Identifying Prepositions and Prepositional Phrases

A resource focused on first identifying prepositions and looking at how prepositional phrases are used.

This is a simple resource to use which first looks at the grammatical skill of identifying the word class of prepositions, and then to apply prepositional phrases in writing.

Step one focuses on identifying the preposition and prepositional phrase, step 2 requires modification of the preposition to make the sentence make sense and step 3 allows pupils to apply their understanding of prepositional phrases in their writing.

This is made up of 4 documents : a fluency starter activity, step 1 and 2 worksheet, step 3 extension activity and the smart notebook to guide through the lesson.
