This lesson is aimed at National 5 standard.
The purpose of the lesson is to develop knowledge and understaning of the negative affects of the trade in the Caribbean- there are six key areas of interest: natives, disease, economy, rebellion, racist attitudes, and damage to islands.
The key skill the lesson promotes is the explain question.
There is also a purposeful worksheet, which will enable pupils to build towards the academic rigour of the final extension task.
