Impact of the British Empire on India

Full lesson (PowerPoint and Worksheets) on the impact of the British Empire on India. The lesson is aimed at Year 9 and is part of a wider scheme of work focussing on whether we should be “proud” of the British Empire.

This lesson focuses on the context surrounding how the British seized control of India and then moves into categorising the impact of British rule on India (economically, culturally, politically etc).
