In My Ocean Unit of Work EYFS and KS1

“In My Ocean” is a topic resource designed for EYFS and KS1 children, linked to the celebration of World Ocean Day in June.
The resource includes a detailed planning sheet outlining five activities, each complete with objectives, required materials, step-by-step instructions, and assessment opportunities.
Central to the resource is a set of 10 colour posters depicting various sea creatures and a seashell.
These posters can be laminated for durability and used in activities such as a school-wide sea creature hunt, where children record their findings on a provided colour or black-and-white sheet.
Additionally, there is a labelling sheet available in both color and black-and-white for children to practice writing the names of the sea creatures.
Another component is an outline of a bottle, encouraging children to plan what they would include in their Ocean Bottle creation activity.
To spark imagination and storytelling skills, the resource includes a delightful story titled “Under the Ocean Adventure,” featuring all the characters from the posters, which children can enjoy before creating their own stories.
