Inclusion & Diversity Drop Down Life Day – Secondary Students 11-18

Inclusion & Diversity Day ‘All Voices, All Hearts’- What’s it all about?

All Voices, All Hearts is a drop-down day that focuses on the importance of embracing our differences in a fun and thought-provoking way. Throughout the day, students will engage in a hands-on simulation game that demonstrates how we all hold on to our own prejudices and how we can overcome some of our stereotypes. Later, we will learn about the 9 protected characteristics under UK law and explore the laws in place to prevent discrimination. Then, the day turns to larger questions like ‘Where do I belong?’ Students will explore their own personal identity and create a mural project where, as a school, we can see how our differences actually make us better. We may also discover that the people we think are so different are quite similar to us too.

These activities are easy to prepare with little to no prep required for teachers. Students will receive a booklet, and teachers will get a 50+ slide PowerPoint presentation to guide them through the activities. It’s easy to set up, thought-provoking for students, and an overall empowering day for everyone.

This PSHE Life Day is designed to equip students with practical tools and insights to explore inclusion and diversity. To help in this process, each student will receive a 18-page Student Guidance Booklet and have session videos as well as session PowerPoint slides.
