Incredible Islands Notebook file

This is a notebook file with some internet links to cover a key stage one topic looking at islands. It covers mapping skills including the use of Atlas to locate continents and oceans and using grids to locate places.
It also uses the fictional story of Katie Morag, who lives on the Isle of Struay to involve the children in identifying physical and human features of a place and helping them to understand how an island is different to a mainland location.
