Engage your 2nd grade students by using this self-checking activity for use in Power Point™ Show mode to review their knowledge of the place value of 3-digit numbers.
Your 2nd graders will work individually or in pairs. They will have to show their understanding of the value of underlined digits in 3-digit numbers.
How do you play the game?
Students will have to identify the underlined digits of their 3-digit numbers on each slide. To make the game more engaging, the answer choices are hidden. Students will have to reveal the answers by clicking on a magnifying glass. Once they have seen the answer choices, they will click on one of them. Correct answers will take them to a slide with a hidden joke. It is hidden under a puzzle. Your students will have to get all their answers correct to remove the puzzle pieces one-by-one. Students can proceed to the next question by clicking on ‘NEXT’. Incorrect answers will take the students to a ‘TRY AGAIN’ slide, where they can click the ‘GO BACK’ button.
